In the late 1960's, a young man named Alan Watts was trying to understand what was happening to him. He had been exposed to Eastern teachings and had a strong interest in Eastern philosophy. But his problems weren't going away. In fact, they were getting worse.

He began to wonder if he was going crazy. Maybe he was going to have to take a trip to a psychiatrist or a therapist. He didn't like the idea of having someone else tell him what he should be doing with his life.

So, he decided to approach his problems as an experiment and see how things turned out. As long as he focused on those problems and kept doing those things, Watts knew that nothing bad would happen to him. If nothing bad happened, Watts knew that something good would come out of it all.

And it did.
